Playroom update!

I FINALLY got around to putting the finishing touches and photographing our playroom re-do. Our old playroom was in a room in our finished basement, it was a great space but it didn’t have any windows and felt like a cave to me. We decided to turn our guest room into the new playroom since it was the biggest bedroom we have and basically went unused the majority of the year. Also, it provided me with a room to hoard things that I should probably be getting rid of anyway! We do still have guests a few times a year so I wanted to make this space easily convertible to a guest room for those times. We decided to get rid of all the bedroom furniture and got a sleeper sofa from Pottery Barn. In general, I wanted to keep the feel bright, light and fun, but not completely over ridden with toys. I purged ALOT of the toys the girls really weren’t playing with anyway and found ways to hide away the toys that we have. The only renovations we did was adding window seats (which also provide toy storage) and putting up an accent wall of wall paper from Hygge & West.

Valentine's Day Daddy gift with Artifact Uprising

Artifact Uprising is always a go-to gift spot for Christmas gifts for me, they have great quality prints, different than your normal photo paper prints, and they have a variety of ways to present the prints. This year for Valentine's Day, I found the best gift idea for Daddy at Artifact Uprising! Me and the girls put together a photo book we titled "We Love Daddy" and included all photos of Daddy and the girls. Henley is so excited to give it to him for Valentine's Day! The book was so easy to make with a variety of layout options! Use code SK10 to get 10% off your order!

Valentine's Day with the Borrowed Boutique

I recently discovered the Borrowed Boutique, its basically like Rent the Runway but for kids! They have the most stylish and up to date closet for any special occasion....or family photo shoot! As a photographer, it is an amazing concept and creates so many more options for me to offer my clients! AND as a mom of two girls, it makes me want to rent alllllll the pretty dresses to play dress up in! I recently rented Nellystella dresses to do a little Valentine's Day photo shoot with the girls (check out some of the shots below!) Oh! and did I mention the amazing accessories they carry!?! Like these flower crowns that basically look like fresh flowers! The best part is, the renting process is so easy! You simply choose your items and rental dates and the items get shipped right to you! Then, you ship them right back in the packaging provided. You don't even need to dry clean or wash anything! Hmm... I may just sign up to do this daily to cut down on the loads of laundry!! To get 20% off your order at The Borrowed Boutique use code "stephanieelliottTBB"
