I FINALLY got around to putting the finishing touches and photographing our playroom re-do. Our old playroom was in a room in our finished basement, it was a great space but it didn’t have any windows and felt like a cave to me. We decided to turn our guest room into the new playroom since it was the biggest bedroom we have and basically went unused the majority of the year. Also, it provided me with a room to hoard things that I should probably be getting rid of anyway! We do still have guests a few times a year so I wanted to make this space easily convertible to a guest room for those times. We decided to get rid of all the bedroom furniture and got a sleeper sofa from Pottery Barn. In general, I wanted to keep the feel bright, light and fun, but not completely over ridden with toys. I purged ALOT of the toys the girls really weren’t playing with anyway and found ways to hide away the toys that we have. The only renovations we did was adding window seats (which also provide toy storage) and putting up an accent wall of wall paper from Hygge & West.
